NIAS Pressures 7th to 8th Sept

Please be advised that due to significant staffing pressures, NIAS (Ambulance Service) anticipate sustained pressure and operational challenges from 7th to 8th September.  Where clinically safe and appropriate,  patients requiring ED are advised to make their own way there. Where a patient does require an ambulance, please be aware that NIAS responses may be delayed.

Meadowbridge Surgery: Patient Notice

You will be aware of recent anti-immigration protests across local areas in Northern Ireland. We stand with the rest of the NHS & PHA in standing against race-related violence and attacks which have no place in our society in leaving our friends and neighbors frightened and worried. With further protests planned, the health and safety of our practice staff and patients is paramount.

GP Practices in local areas, where there is the risk of “potential” protests & disturbances are therefore prepared to implement business continuity arrangements with focus on maintaining the critical services within General Medical Services to ensure patient safety and accessibility of care for patients when necessary.

Due to expected protests from 5pm on Friday 9/8/24 we have taken the decision to close our doors at 5pm to allow staff to travel to their homes safely. Patients can still contact the practice regarding any clinical emergencies by telephone for advice.

Please also visit our face-book page to access a wealth of resources, general medical advice and updates. and use patient services as normal to order prescriptions which will be available within 72 hours at nominated chemists.

Please stay safe in the meantime.
Negative actions can’t produce positive results.
